I get the same crap from these guys. Near as I can tell it is a scam too. I tried calling them back to tell them the same as you, they tell you to phone another number. NOT gonna happen. If nobody answers on the line, I do not talk. I am with you, I pay for my phone and they are using it to ask for money or donations or whatever. This is my phone, not theirs. Well the thing is that it’s an independant organization that supports police forces all over the country so it’s not really the Canadian police (RCMP or otherwise) that’s asking for the money.

Regardless it’s pretty bad when they harrass people like this. They haven’t called recently so that’s a good thing.

Good rant there! Why did the Canadian police started acting like charities asking for donations? I am surprised they don’t think they are abusing their authority.
